Use the Placeholders pane of the Preferences dialog box (QuarkXPress/Edit menu) to set text placeholder display preferences.

• Use the Color button in the Text Placeholder area to specify the color of the text placeholders in the layout. Choose a shade percentage for the color from the Shade drop-down menu.
• Use the Color button in the TextNode Placeholder area to specify the color of the text node placeholders in the layout. Choose a shade percentage for the color from the Shade drop-down menu.
