Adding a button control

A submit button control lets users submit the form to a target script or application on a server. A reset button control returns all fields and buttons in the form to their default values. To create a submit or reset button control:

  1. Use the Button tool QuarkXpress tool button Adding a button control to draw the button control in the form box.
    • Choosing Reset configures the button control to return the form’s fields and buttons to their default values.
    • Choosing Submit configures the button control to submit the form data to the target CGI script or application indicated by the form box.
  2. Click OK.
  3. To add text to a button, click the button with the Text Content tool QuarkXpress tool text content Adding a button control and enter the text that will display on the button.
Note: Buttons automatically resize to accommodate the length of their names.
